Corporate Social Responsibility by Aj Ticonel

Aj Ticonel has a social, economic, and environmental commitment. We believe in the challenge of creating and improving better life opportunities for our producers, our employees and taking care of our natural resources to guarantee sustainable development.  

Aj Ticonel supports its employees who want to study in the weekends, by offering them compensation of study costs, from secondary level to university degree. In addition, we support, prepare and train the producers to obtain better and environmental friendly harvest processes. 

Aj Ticonel pays its farmers a fair price for the quality product that they offer.

Aj Ticonel initiated a specific program of supporting schools in the rural areas where our producers live. AJ Ticonel offers the opportunity to build bridges between its clients and consumers and the school support program.

For a few years now, Aj Ticonel runs a permanent program to support orphanages.

Aj Ticonel collaborates with OPCION, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). OPCION trains the farmers to sustain and improve the quality of the vegetables, it supports farmers with seed credit and it trains them to comply with different quality standards needed to export to the U.S, the U.K. and the European Union. OPCION supports small-scale farmers to construct irrigation systems.
OPCION also supports other projects in communities, not directly linked to Aj Ticonel and its productive projects. For example OPCION constructs adequate sanitary systems for schools, classrooms and playing fields in marginalized rural areas.
